I missed the first part of this conversation, but this is how it ended......
Nathan says to Reese, "No Reese, you have to have sperm for that."
Guess reading this book had made Nate a sex educator. At least when his little buddies at school start tossing around sex talk Nathan can correct them with the facts.

Skin and Summer
Just one more day of school left for Nathan! I'm both excited and a bit scared about entertaining a 5 and 2 year old for 12 weeks straight. Will they get bored? Will I go mad? My hope.......to let my hair down (which I need to do more), laugh more and conquer my fear of the heat. If anyone has any cool summer fun ideas I'd love to hear them.
I find myself paying a lot of attention to sun-screen. My skin seemed so resilient before....what happened? A few years ago a good friend from high school battled melanoma and Jake and I have been religious about going for an annual with the dermatologist and using sun-screen. Having kids and wanting to protect their skin has reminded us to do the same for ourselves. We told the kids they have to wear sun-screen so the sun won't kiss them too hard. It worked because they let us lather them up without a fuss. So, I've become a member of the small percentage of us who wear sun-screen everyday and I'm sure to have the pastiest kids in the sunshine state....which is OK by me.

Unwanted Mail
I stumbled across this site this morning.....it was a link from our counties recycling website. I couldn't register fast enough. Also, check out how to stop getting all those credit card offers in the mail. Nathan would be proud of me....saving trees!

A new look for Grandma
This week my Grandmother's house is getting a little face lift. For Mother's Day my mom headed back to SC to spend the week to help paint, clean and organize my grandmother's house. The inside hasn't been painted for 20 years. My grandfather had emphysema and couldn't handle breathing the paint fumes. It's been three years since he passed away and my grandmother has patiently waited for someone to help her with this task. There was never a complaint as she watched all of us move into new homes and paint our walls. Thanks Grandma for being so patient with us. Now it's your turn. She has lived in the house for nearly 50 years and finds herself tired of looking at the same old walls. We did some shopping for new curtains, paint colors and accessories to spruce up the place. I can hardly wait to see the results! I'll be sure to post before and after pictures.

Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day. Friday, my mom, grandmother and I spent the day shopping. Something we've never done together. I think it will be a day that we will always remember. Saturday, Jake had his annual task of celebrating Mother's Day and Papa's birthday all at once. At the end of the day he tucked in the kids while I lounged on the couch in my new "Super Mom" pajamas. Life is good.

Tagged
I've been tagged by Mom Tu-Tu at http://momtu-tu.blogspot.com/ to do the 8 Random Things about me.
Here are the rules:
1. Each player starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged write a blog post about their own 8 random things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog you need to tag 8 people and post their names.
4. Don't forget to leave them a comment and tell them they're tagged, and to read your blog.
Random Things about me:
1. My boys ROCK!
2. I'm getting into politics for the first time in my life.
3. I love my husbands sarcasm and secretly giggle at his corny jokes.
4. I've been in denial for years, but can finally admit that I am a shopper.
5. I hope my kids think I'm the coolest even when they're grown.
6. I'm living in my dream house.
7. My favorite show is Oprah.
8. Thanks to breast cancer, I have a flat belly and new, perky boobs.

OK, so that's not 8 blogs, but I'm a new blogger and don't know 8 blogs to tag.

Family Night
I'm guilty. Nate has caught me repeatedly tossing items into the trash that should go into the recycle bin. I was never quite sure what to recycle and what not to. Check out this site, enter your zip code and it will tell you what you can recycle in your area. Maybe now I can get back into good graces with my environmentally conscience 5 year old.
